POONCH, APRIL 25: The three-day District-Level Field Trainer Training Programme for the conduct of Census 2027 (House Listing and Housing Census – HLO, Phase I), which commenced on April 23, 2026, concluded successfully today in Poonch. The programme was organized under the overall supervision of Principal Census Officer and Deputy Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma.
A total of 24 Field Trainers participated in the training programme. These trainers will further impart training to approximately 1,242 Enumerators and Supervisors across eight Census Charges, covering six tehsils and two municipalities of District Poonch.
The training sessions were conducted by Master Trainers Javaid Ahmed, Additional District Census Officer, Poonch and Sunil Kumar, Assistant Director from the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K. The sessions focused on key aspects of the House Listing and Housing Census (HLO), including identification and listing of households, assessment of housing conditions, use of digital devices and adherence to prescribed field protocols.
The successful completion of this training programme marks a significant milestone in strengthening preparedness for Phase I (HLO) of Census 2027 in District Poonch.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized strict adherence to the Census Manual and guidelines issued for Census 2027 to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality in data collection.
