PULWAMA, OCTOBER 29: In pursuance of the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Kuldeep Krishan Sidha, Patwaris across the district continued to remain accessible to people in their respective Patwar Khanas as part of the routine functioning of the Revenue Administration.
The Patwaris interacted with residents, listened to their concerns and assisted them in matters relating to land records, revenue documentation, verification and other issues pertaining to the Revenue Department. The arrangement was aimed at ensuring that people could get their genuine issues addressed at the local level and avoid unnecessary visits to government offices.
The routine process covered different areas and Patwar Khanas of the district, including Ghalandhar, Babhara, Mitrigam, Arihal, Gangoo and Rajpora among others, where Patwaris engaged with residents and dealt with matters brought to their notice.
The Deputy Commissioner had directed all Patwaris to maintain regular contact with the people of their respective jurisdictions, understand their issues and ensure that genuine grievances were addressed promptly in coordination with the concerned authorities.
The initiative is a step towards effective public service delivery, people-centric and responsive governance, with emphasis on making revenue services more accessible and ensuring timely resolution of public concerns.
Such regular interactions are expected to strengthen coordination between the administration and the public and facilitate effective resolution of issues at the appropriate level.
