BANDIPORA, MAY 02: District Administration Bandipora has appealed to the general public to actively participate in Census 2027 and make use of the Self-Enumeration facility for smooth and successful conduct of the nationwide census exercise.

It was informed that the House Listing and Housing Census Operations (HLO), constituting the first phase of Census 2027, shall be conducted across District Bandipora from June 1 to June 30, 2026.
Prior to this, a Self-Enumeration facility shall remain available from May 17 to May 31, 2026 through the official portal https://se.census.gov.in.

The Administration has urged the people of all villages, towns, and tehsils of the district to ensure maximum participation in the census process and extend full cooperation to the designated census officials during the exercise.

The District Administration stated that Census 2027 is an important national exercise which serves as the foundation for planning and implementation of developmental programmes, welfare schemes, infrastructure development, and policy formulation.

Citizens have been advised to provide accurate information during the census and encourage family members, relatives, and neighbours to actively participate in the self-enumeration process.

The Administration has further appealed to support the awareness campaign and motivate people to participate positively in the census exercise.
