RAMBAN, DECEMBER 04: District Administration Ramban today organized a series of weekly Block Diwas programs across all subdivisions of the district to address public grievances and ensure their timely resolution.

At Sanasar in Tehsil Batote, Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, presided over the Block Diwas meeting. Accompanied by ACD Shrinath Suman, Tehsildar Batote Vijay Sharma, and other block-level officers, the ADDC listened to people’s demands seeking augmentation of water supply and maintenance of toilet units at Sanasar. Most grievances were addressed on the spot through instructions to the concerned departments.

A Block Diwas meeting was held at Pogal Bus Stand which was chaired by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ramsoo, Ghansham Basotra. The public sought additional enrollments under PMAY-G, streamlining of power and water supply, accurate electricity billing and construction of road from Bus Stand Pogal to Gohalla. Tehsildar Ramsoo, Nisar Javeed, and other officials also participated and resolved many issues.

At Panchayat Bhimdasa in Sub-Division Gool, Assistant Commissioner Revenue S. Harpal Singh chaired the Block Diwas program along with Tehsildar Harjeet Singh, BDOs, and other block-level officers.

The public complained about shortage of water supply due to the dry season, power outages, besides demanding proper maintenance of PMGSY and other roads. Many grievances were resolved on the spot.

In Banihal, a Block Diwas program was held at the BDO Office, which was presided by the SDM Rizwan Asgar. The event was attended by Tehsildar Banihal Rizwan Asgar and sectoral officers from various departments. The public raised several issues during the program, which were addressed by the officials present.

The Block Diwas initiative continues to serve as a vital platform for the redressal of public grievances and the delivery of essential public services in Ramban District.
