REASI, NOVEMBER 25: Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, today chaired a meeting to review and finalise the arrangements for the celebration of Samvidhan Diwas, being observed on 26 November 2025.

During the meeting, the ADC emphasised organising meaningful activities focused on spreading awareness about the Constitution of India and promoting active civic participation among citizens. He informed that a “Run for Liberty” will be held at 8:30 AM, starting from the DC Office Complex, Reasi.

He further informed that the main district-level function will be held at the Auditorium of the DC Office Complex, where a documentary on the Constitution of India will also be screened as part of the celebrations.

The ADC directed all educational institutions to organise pledge-taking ceremonies, special morning assemblies, quiz competitions, open dialogues, Gram Sabha debates and other informative activities highlighting constitutional values. He also instructed schools and municipal bodies to undertake wall art activities.

Stressing the need to ensure widespread participation, the ADC asked the SDMs to ensure enthusiastic observance of Samvidhan Diwas in all sub-divisions. He urged all departments to work in close coordination so that the day is celebrated with dignity, awareness and active public involvement across the district.

The ADC also directed all officers to upload details of their activities on the designated portal, ensuring proper documentation of the district-wide celebrations.

ACR Nitin Verma, ACD Vijay Kumar, EO MC Reasi, Tehsildar Reasi and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
