District Court Udhampur discusses preparations for National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 10, 2025

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 12: A virtual meeting was held today in the Conference Hall of the District Court Complex Udhampur to discuss preparations for the upcoming National Lok Adalat scheduled on May 10, 2025.
The meeting was attended by representatives from various banks operating in Udhampur, insurance companies, and their respective advocates.

The meeting was chaired by Virinder Singh Bhou, Principal District and Sessions Judge (Chairman DLSA) and attended by Kamlesh Pandit, Addl. District and Sessions Judge Udhampur and Dr. Smriti Sharma, Secretary DLSA.
The meeting aimed to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are in place for the successful conduct of National Lok Adalat.

The Chairman emphasised the importance of the National Lok Adalat and outlined the strategies for resolving and disposing of as many cases as possible. He discussed different aspects like Case Selection and categorization, etc.

He further suggested that banks/companies should offer flexible settlement options to customers and asked them to proactively publicize their involvement in Lok Adalat through their website, social media or branch communication materials so that the general public can settle their cases.
