UDHAMPUR, NOVEMBER 11: To commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram, the District Administration Udhampur organized a district-level programme here at Riwayat.

The event also featured saturation under key financial inclusion schemes such as PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY.

The programme witnessed the presence of PO Poshan Subash Dogra; Assistant Commissioner Development Om Parkash, district and sectoral officers, representatives of Beopar Mandals, prominent citizens and members of the general public. The sanitation workers and pensioners were enrolled for financial inclusion schemes.

Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai was the chief guest. The Agriculture, Horticulture, Health and ICDS departments had set up awareness stalls at the venue to disseminate information about welfare and flagship schemes of the Government.

The Deputy Commissioner inspected the stalls, interacted with staff and beneficiaries and inquired about the on-ground impact of the schemes. She also took direct feedback from beneficiaries to assess the effectiveness of service delivery.

Addressing the gathering, the DC highlighted that the Government has launched numerous welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of common citizens. She urged the public to come forward and avail the maximum benefits of these initiatives. She further emphasized that the objective of organizing such programmes is to enhance awareness regarding government-sponsored schemes.

The DC also sensitized participants about PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and APY. She elaborated on the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, which offers attractive subsidies for installing rooftop solar panels. She encouraged citizens to enroll for the scheme to contribute towards clean energy and environmental sustainability.

Adding to the patriotic spirit of the event, students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir School recited the national song Vande Mataram, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere.
