JAMMU, OCTOBER 26: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar and Additional Director General of Police Anand Jain on Saturday reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming “Run for Unity,” and celebration of the UT foundation day, here at meeting.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner JMC, Deputy Commissioners of districts from across Jammu Division, Director Education, Joint Commissioner YSS and concerned officials. The discussions focused on key arrangements for the successful conduct of the event including the security and logistics arrangements.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners to implement a comprehensive traffic diversion plan and ensure deployment of adequate security personnel along the routes and venues of Run For Unity in all the districts. He also directed for the provision of ambulance and fire tender services to be readily available during the event.
Additionally, the Divisional Commissioner asked the DCs and SSPs to liaise with the heads of major infrastructure projects to ensure safety measures for workers involved in these initiatives.
The Div Com also asked the Deputy Commissioners to ensure proper arrangements for smooth celebrations UT foundation day and forthcoming Diwali festival.
