JAMMU, MAY 10: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today reviewed the functioning of the Revenue department at a meeting held here in the DC office.

Deputy Commissioner Jammu, ADMs, ACR, SDMs and Tehsildars of Jammu District attended the meeting.
Initiating a thorough assessment of the services delivery mechanism, the Div Com highlighted the vital role of the Revenue Department in the Administrative system and the imperativeness to ensure its seamless and flawless functioning.

The Div Com directed Revenue officials to conduct regular field visits to have the updated information about their jurisdiction. He further impressed on right conduct and use of authority as the Revenue Officers with utmost integrity and dedication for the welfare of the people in their respective Tehsils.
Evaluating Tehsil wise working, he asked for delivery of online revenue services and redressal of public grievances in stipulated time frame.

Regarding revenue courts, the Div Com directed for quality and time bound disposal of cases.
Tehsildars were directed to ensure timely disposal of complaints and disputes received in their office. He further stressed on handling the public issues with sensitivity, objectivity and merits.
