BANDIPORA FEBRUARY 20: District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora under the Chairmanship of Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Bandipora and under the guidance of Iqbal Ahmad Akhoon, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bandipora and Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal today organized an awareness programme on World Social Justice Day at New Career Point Coaching Institute Sumbal.
Abid Hussain Malla (Penal Lawyer) Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal delivered speech on the social justice and said that main objective of this day is to address social injustice and collectively work towards eliminating poverty, illiteracy, physical, gender, and religious discrimination to build a just and socially integrated society.
He further highlighted the efforts needed to be done on individual level to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender equality, unemployment, human rights, and social protections and to promote the development and human dignity.
Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat, PLV, TLSC Submal delivered lecture on the social justice and highlighted that the social justice will empower the old and marginalized sections of society to live a life at par with the stronger strata of the society and will also ensure a society wherein there is no disparity among people.
Social Justice concept is a step forward for ensuring equal social hierarchy among the socially backward and poor masses, he added.
Among others the programme was attended by, PLVs, Staff members, Students and other concerned.
