DLSA Pulwama organises awareness prog on World Social Justice Day

PULWAMA, FEBRUARY 20: District Legal Services Authority Pulwama under the Chairmanship of Naseer Ahmad Dar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge), Pulwama and under the supervision of Mudasar Farooq Secretary DLSA Pulwama today organized an awareness programme on “World Social Justice Day” at Skylar College Pulwama.

In his inaugural session Ashiq Hussain Ganie Asst. LADC Pulwama highlighted the role of Legal Services Authorities for empowering inclusion bridging gaps of social justice focusing on importance of inclusive policies and social protection in managing systematic inequality.

On the said occasion, Sameer Ahmad Yatoo Panel Lawyer from DLSA Pulwama was a main resource person for the said programme who delivered a lecture on the said topic.

The emphasis was laid on how to bring the various communities internationally together to eliminate poverty, gender discrimination, and illiteracy to make a socially integrated society and to remove barriers regarding gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, culture or disability.

This day recognized the need to promote efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion and unemployment.

The emphasis was also laid on the concept of social justice as a revolutionary concept which provides meaning and significance to life and makes the rule of law dynamic. The resource person also threw light on in inclusive society where ever it is expected to ensure equal opportunity, fair deal and does not deprive anyone.

Moreover the programme was also attended by a gathering of students, staff members of Skylar College Pulwama, LADCs, Staff members, and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authorities Pulwama.

At the conclusion of the programme question, answer session was also organized in which different question related to free legal aid were raised by the participants and all question, quarries were satisfactorily answered.
