DLSA B’pora organizes Awareness programme on BBBP & Female Foeticide

BANDIPORA, JULY 24: In accordance with the directions of J&K Legal Services Authority for carrying out various activities under Plan of Action for the year 2024, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Sumbal and in collaboration with Government High School Saderkoot Bala today organized an awareness programme on Beti Padhao Beti Bachao (BBBP) and Female Feticide, here.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Chairman DLSA (Principal District and Sessions Judge) Bandipora and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Bandipora
Panel Lawyers Nazia Parveen and Sheikh Ajaz Ahmad delivered lectures on the said subject.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers including panel lawyers held detailed discussion on the importance of protecting girl children and ill effects of killing baby girls. The speakers tried to dispel the negative notion of not protecting baby girls and emphasized that in the modern world there is almost little difference between boys and girls in terms of excelling in educational and competitive fields.

The programme was participated by Panel Lawyers, staff members and students of School besides PLVs of DLSA Bandipora/TLSC Sumbal.
