BUDGAM, JULY 06: In a significant move, as part of Calendar of activities, District Legal Services Authority Budgam, under the Aegis of J&K Legal Services Authority Srinagar Conducted extensive visit to the Central Jail Srinagar.
The visit was made in connection with the forth Coming 3rd Under Trial Review Committee scheduled to be held in the Month of July 2026. During the visit the team lead by Chief LADC Budgam interacted with the Jail inmates and has identified eligible UTPS to be taken up in the scheduled 3rd UTRC Meeting. The List shall be shared amongst the all UTRC meeting members and on the day of Meeting amongst them, eligible UTPS to be recommended for release with the due consent of members.
It is important to mention here that DLSA Budgam is committed in safe guarding the Legal rights of the under-Trial Prisoners and their family members as per modus operanda NALSA-SPURHA scheme.
