PULWAMA, DECEMBER 03: In compliance to the directions of JK Legal Services Authority, District Legal Services Authority Pulwama under the Chairmanship of Malik Shabir Ahmad, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr.District & Sessions Judge), Pulwama and under the supervision of Mudasar Farooq, Secretary DLSA Pulwama organized awareness programmes on “International Day of Persons With Disabilities” in collaboration with TLSCs Tral, Awantipora and Pampore at their respective jurisdictions.
On the occasion Asst. LADC from DLSA Pulwama gave special address to the participants regarding “International Day of Persons With Disabilities” legal rights and entitlements of persons with disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, along with welfare schemes reservations benefits and the role of legal services institutions.
Moreover, other speakers delivered an informative lectures on disability related health issues, early diagnosis, and rehabilitation and highlighted various government health schemes available for persons with disabilities.
The programmes were attended by medical officers, special abled persons, Asha Workers, Students, staff members and PLVs of District Legal Services Authority Pulwama.
The programmes were concluded with the message that specially abled persons must be helped and encouraged at each and every stage of life.
