SAMBA, OCTOBER 07: Under the insightful directions of Chairperson District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Samba an awareness programme on “International Day of Elderly” was held at Muskan Foundation, Vijaypur.
This programme was organized under the Chairmanship of Chairman DLSA Samba, Ravinder Nath Wattal and under the supervision of Secretary DLSA Samba, Sandeep Singh Sen.
The programme was attended by Medical Officer and his team of Vijaypur Hospital as well as members of the Muskan Foundation, Officers of LADCs, staff and PLVs of DLSA.
The resource person for the programme was Nisha Rani, Deputy Legal Aid Defence Counsel DLSA Samba, who threw light on different schemes organized by Government of India.
Secretary DLSA in his speech highlighted the values of elders in our home and aware the participants about the theme of this day which is “Ageing with Dignity: the importance of strengthening Care and Support systems for older persons world-wide” and also the goal of the International Day of Elderly. Proceedings of the programme was conducted by Versha Anthal, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Samba.
Beside this, DLSA Samba also organize a Medical Camp in collaboration with Govt. Medical Hospital Vijaypur in which the medical team of Doctors did basic check up of the participants and gave them necessary First Aid medicines.
