DLTFC approves 31 applications under JKREGP in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, MAY 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag Dr. Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat today chaired the meeting of the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme(JKREGP) at the DC Office.

CPO, District Officer, KVIB, LBM, FM DIC, officials from Bank and KVIB and others attended the meeting.

During the meeting, 37 applicants appeared before the committee for sanction of loans and establishment of different types of units under the JKREGP. After detailed interaction and assessment, the committee recommended 31 candidates for establishing their units under the scheme. The approved cases involve a total project cost of Rs. 312.05 lakh, with a proposed margin money assistance of Rs 109.375 lakh under the JKREGP scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed that the sanctioned loan amount be swiftly disbursed in favor of the approved cases for establishing their units in a time bound manner adding that proper gudiance be provided to the beneficiaries so their units become profitable and sustainable. He said that proper implementation of the self employment and sponsorship schemes is vital to ensure meaningful employment for youth of the district.

The DDC advised the beneficiaries to work hard and make sustained efforts while keeping themselves updated with the market trends for securing the future of their units. Sustainable units will not only generate employment for the unit holders but will also provide livelihood opportunities to others, he remarked.

Expressing their gratitude to the authorities, the beneficiaries vowed to work with commitment and dedication to ensure their units remain profitable and sustainable in the long run.
