DODA, JULY 29: The National Education Policy (NEP) Utsav was enthusiastically celebrated today at the Resource Centre, MS Bun Doda, bringing together students, teachers, and parents to underscore the transformative goals of NEP 2020.

The event particularly highlighted Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and the crucial role of School Management Committees (SMCs) in the policy’s successful implementation.

The celebration was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Anil Thakur, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Hafiz, Chief Education Officer, Doda, Chaman Lal, Zonal Education Officer, Doda, Kismat Singh Jaral, District Nodal Officer for Inclusive Education and Zonal Coordinators Inder Singh Rukwal (Zone Ghat) and Arif Hussain (Zone Doda). Special Education Teachers were also in attendance, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive education.

A key aspect of the Utsav was the distribution of aids and appliances to identified Children with Special Needs (CWSN), facilitated by ALIMCO. Both the Additional Deputy Commissioner and the Chief Education Officer stressed the importance of NEP 2020’s objectives and the effective use of these distributed aids. Their remarks underscored the commitment to ensuring equitable educational opportunities for every child, empowering them to become literate, self-reliant, and productive contributors to society.

The event garnered significant positive feedback from both students and the wider community, who expressed their appreciation for the various schemes and initiatives launched by the Government under the comprehensive NEP framework.
