SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 20: Minister of Education, Sakeena Itoo, today conducted a surprise inspection of several Class XII examination centers in Pulwama and Anantnag districts and reviewed the facilities being provided to the students there.

At the examination centers set up at Syed Mantaqi Higher Secondary School Awantipora and Islamia Hanafia Waqf Higher Secondary School Anantnag, the Education Minister spoke to several students and enquired about the facilities being provided to them.

Expressing her best wishes to the students, the Minister said that the government is serious about the welfare of every student of Jammu and Kashmir, as evidenced by the overnight solution of the issues faced by some students recently.

The Minister said that we will not let even a single moment of the students be wasted, another proof of which is that the current government changed the academic session as soon as it came into existence. She added that the complaints recently raised by the children were addressed in a timely manner and today all the children are appearing in the examination centers.

Sakeena Itoo, while expressing concern over exam stress among the students, exhorted upon the examination and other staff to ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the centers under the set rules and regulations.

She appreciated the efforts of the Director School Education Kashmir, Director School Education Jammu, Board of School Education and other staff for conducting the examinations on time despite the challenges in the wake of change of academic session.

The Minister assured the parents that the education sector is among the top priorities of the government and all steps are being taken to bring this sector to a new level.

The Minister was accompanied by Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G.N. Itoo and other officers of the department.
