BHADERWAH, JANUARY 06: Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal today welcomed the joint efforts being put in by the civil society and the stakeholder departments to promote Bhaderwah valley as a prominent tourist destination.

Addressing a promotional event “We Bhaderwahi Meet” organized by Bhaderwah Adventure Tourism Association (BATA), he reiterated DDC’s commitment to the holistic development of Bhaderwah, particularly in strengthening tourism infrastructure and adventure tourism. He called for active community participation to project Bhaderwah as a prominent tourist destination on the national map.

The event brought together key stakeholders to deliberate on strengthening Bhaderwah’s identity and fostering sustainable tourism.

MLA Bhaderwah, Daleep Singh Parihar; Vice Chairperson DDC, Sangeeta Bhagat and DDC Member, Thakur Yudhvir Singh, besides a large number of local youths, tourism stakeholders, adventure enthusiasts, NGOs, social activists, senior citizens, religious leaders, public representatives and prominent citizens also participated in the meet.

The speakers emphasized the need for collective and coordinated efforts to promote Bhaderwah—popularly known as Mini Kashmir—as a hub of adventure and eco-tourism.

The Chairman DDC, MLA Bhaderwah and other public representatives assured that the issues raised during the interaction would be examined and acted upon in a time-bound manner.
