Srinagar: In a landmark development, the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) of Jammu and Kashmir has nominated Suhaib Munshi as the Chief Convenor of the NPS Unit. The announcement was made during an event graced by distinguished dignitaries, including the Chief Guest Wajahat Durrani, President of EJAC, Masroor Ahmad Khan, a senior leader in EJAC and President of the +2 Lecturers Association, Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, Secretary EJAC, and other key representatives from various unions in Jammu and Kashmir.
Suhaib Munshi, the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Handicrafts Employees Union, expressed gratitude for the nomination, emphasizing the urgent need for modifications to the NPS policy and expressing hope for alignment with the OPS framework.
President EJAC, Wajahat Durrani, highlighted the challenges faced by NPS employees post-retirement, stressing the need to restore OPS in Jammu and Kashmir. Durrani expressed optimism that the committee, under Suhaib Munshi’s leadership, will successfully address these issues.

Khan expressed his unwavering support for the cause, underscoring the vital role of NPS employees in the community. He eloquently spoke about the challenges faced by these employees, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive solution. Khan pledged to stand with the committee, ensuring that the concerns of NPS employees are heard and addressed at every level.
