BHADERWAH, OCTOBER 17: The Department of Community Medicine Government Medical College (GMC) Doda organized a free medical camp here today at Panjgrani Malothi, as part of its ongoing health outreach activities.
The camp was held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rakesh Bahl and the close supervision of HoD Medicines Dr. Suresh Kotwal. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the local population, demonstrating GMC Doda’s commitment to community welfare and public health.
A total of 180 patients received free medical consultations and medicines during the camp by a medical team. The local residents expressed gratitude for the free healthcare services, recognizing the valuable efforts of GMC Doda in reaching remote areas with much-needed medical attention.
The camp was led by Dr. Khalid Khurshid, In-Charge Medical Officer, RHTC Bhalla, and supported by Dr. Arusa Anjum (Junior Resident) along with a dedicated team of paramedical and field staff. Additionally, over 50 patients received free ophthalmic consultations from an Ophthalmic Technician from UHTC Ghat, addressing eye health needs in the community.
This initiative is part of GMC Doda’s continuous efforts to improve public health in the region by extending medical services to underserved areas, reinforcing their commitment to promoting healthcare access for all.
