Ganderbal, Dec 10 : In a remarkable display of talent and determination, the athletes from Ganderbal have brought pride to their district at the 25th National Sqay Championship held in Haryana.
With outstanding performances, they have not only made a mark in the competition but also shone a spotlight on Ganderbal, showcasing the district’s growing potential in martial arts.
From bronze to gold, these athletes have proven their skill, making Ganderbal’s name known across the nation.
Kamraan Tariq, Uzaif Ahmad Shah, and Zaid Bin Ashraf from Ganderbal have brought pride to their hometown with their exceptional performances at the 25th National Sqay Championship held in Haryana.
Kamraan Tariq won the bronze medal, showcasing his unwavering dedication and determination in the competition. Kamraan while talking to the news agency, said, “This bronze medal is the result of years of hard work, and I am proud to bring it home to Ganderbal. It’s just the beginning, and I aim for gold next time.”
Uzaif Ahmad Shah told KNO that this achievement of winning a silver medal further highlights the talent emerging from the region. “Winning silver feels amazing. I am thankful to my coaches, especially Saleem Pathan & my family, and friends for their constant support. This victory motivates me to aim higher in the future,” he said.
However, it was Zaid Bin Ashraf’s extraordinary display of skill that earned him the coveted gold medal, making him a true champion. “Winning gold is a dream come true. I have put in so much effort for this moment, and I feel proud to represent Ganderbal at the national level,” Zaid said.
Saleem Pathan Coach told KNO that on behalf of the Sqay Association Ganderbal, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the players for their dedication and hard work. Your commitment is truly commendable, and I wish each one of you the very best for your future endeavors. Keep striving for excellence.”
