JAMMU, JULY 26: The NSS Unit of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu organised an online poem recitation and singing competition to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event aimed to honour the courage and sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces during the 1999 Kargil War.

The competition brought together students from various departments to showcase their creative talents by presenting heartfelt and patriotic poems and songs. These performances reflected the unwavering respect and gratitude of the younger generation toward the heroes who defend the Nation’s honour.

The event witnessed overwhelming participation, with students expressing the spirit of bravery and patriotism through words and music. The winners of the singing competition were Khushi Sharma, Mansi Rajput and Rudrakshi Mahajan while Shivani Thakur, Nandani Sharma and Pragati Thakur won the poem recitation competition. Urmila Bharti and Kriti Sharma coordinated the event.

The College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar congratulated all the participants and winners, encouraging them to continue nurturing a love for the nation through art and expression. The Principal also appreciated the efforts of the NSS team, especially NSS PO Dr. Shubhra Jamwal for organising this meaningful event and for motivating students to remember the sacrifices of the armed forces.
