GCOE Jammu organises awareness rally themed “Stay away from drugs”

JAMMU, APRIL 03: NCORD Committee of Government College of Education, in collaboration with Social Reform Charitable Trust on Thursday organised a Rally-cum awareness campaign themed “Stay away from drugs.” The College Principal Dr.(Prof.) Jyoti Parihar led the event in the presence of esteemed speaker S.K Jain, State Yoga Commissioner and his team.

The event was initiated with a warm and engaging welcome speech by Convener NCORD Committee, Prof. Sunanda Rani.

In his address, the State Yoga Commissioner captivated the audience with a heartfelt poem highlighting the dangers of drug addiction and emphasizing the importance of saying no to drugs. His other team members also shed light on this sensitive issue.

To enhance the impact of the event, the participants solemnly pledged to “Say No To Drugs”. To add depth to the event, a rally was organised and flagged off by Prof. Sunanda Rani in presence of Dr. Shalini Sharma, Prof. Roopa Kumari, Dr.Ambica Kumari along with the students to raise awareness about drug abuse. A formal vote of thanks was extended by Dr. Ambica Kumari.

The event concluded with the distribution of refreshment to the students, generously sponsored by Dabur India Limited. The event was a great success witnessing active participation from both students and faculty members, including Prof. Satish Kumar Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Kour, Dr. Sushma Bala and Prof. Sarita Dogra. Overall the event concluded on a positive note, leaving a lasting impact on all the participants.
