SAMBA, AUGUST 23: To commemorate the fifth anniversary of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, Government Degree College Vijaypur and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Committee of the college organised a plantation drive. The event was conducted under the supervision of Principal of the college, Dr. Ashu Vashisht.
The drive commenced with the welcome address by the Principal where she generated awareness among the students regarding the importance of planting trees for the preservation of the environment and ecosystem of the country. She further added that plantation drives are a powerful step towards a greener, healthier and sustainable future.
On the occasion a large number of plants were planted by the Principal, faculty members and the students.
The programme was coordinated by Prof. Anita Jamwal, Prof. Mamta Gupta, Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Dr. Arti Sharma, Dr. Manoj Heer and Prof. Meetu Sharma.
