GDC Vijaypur organises Slogan Writing Competition to celebrate National Education Day

SAMBA, NOVEMBER 11: To mark the National Education day, Department of Education and IQAC of Government Degree College Vijaypur organised a slogan writing competition on the theme, “Building a Brighter Tomorrow through Education.”

More than 20 college students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm, fervour and zeal.
The event commenced with the welcome address by Prof. Ritu Bhagat (H.O.D. Education). She emphasised that National Education Day spreads awareness about literacy, especially in remote and underprivileged areas. “This day reminds us that education is a basic right and that literacy can empower individuals to make their own informed decisions” she added.

The first position was secured by Ankush of B.A Sem 1st, the second position was shared by Shruti Jamwal and Lovepreet Kour of Semester 5th and the 3rd position to Kusum Rani of semester 3rd.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal and Dr. Noreen Jaral (Lecturers, Dept. of Education). The competition was judged by Prof. Mamta Gupta (H.O.D. Commerce), Prof. Poonam Kundan (H.O.D. Environmental Sciences) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (H.O.D. English). Certificates were distributed among the winners and participants.
