GDC Vijaypur students visit Muskaan Home

SAMBA, MARCH 05: Department of Commerce and Department of Education, Government Degree College Vijaypur today visited Muskaan Home as a part of their community service initiative. In a heartwarming initiative students of B.Com/B.A./B.Sc Semester 2nd, 4th and 6th spent a memorable day spreading joy and warmth at Muskaan Home, Channi Rama, Jammu.

The visit aimed to created a positive impact on the lives of these children and foster a sense of community engagement among them. Principal of the college, Dr. Vandana Gupta, Prof. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr. Manoj Heer, Dr Naseem Choudhary along with other staff members and students flagged off the journey.

Prof. Mamta Gupta, H.O.D. Commerce said that the visit was wonderful opportunity for students to connect and support the incredible children at Muskaan Home. Principal of the college, Prof Vandana Gupta remains dedicated to foster a culture of compassion, inclusivity and community engagement. This visit was part of our ongoing efforts to instil a sense of responsibility and empathy among our students while preparing them to make a positive impact on the society.

This initiative not only demonstrated the commitment of GDC Vijaypur to social responsibility but also provided students with the valuable learning experience, fostering empathy and understanding for those facing unique challenges.

Dr. Tisha Singh, Dr Pooja Gupta and Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal were the organisers of the visit.
