GGN hospital organises CME session to mark World Diabetes Day 2025

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 14: Directorate of Health Services Jammu (DHSJ), under the guidance of Director Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, organized a screening camp to mark the observance of World Diabetes day.
Divisional Nodal Officer NCD, Dr. Sushma Mattoo supervised the event organised in collaboration with the Medical Mobile Unit led by Dr. Rashmi Sharma.

The Medical team screened as many as 28 Officers and Officials for Diabetes & Hypertension.
Meanwhile, a CME (Continuing Medical Education) session was organised at Government hospital Gandhi Nagar under the supervision of Medical Superintendent, Dr. Narinder Bhutyal.

Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar was the Chief Guest, while former Director, Dr. Rajeev Sharma and Dy Director Dentistry, Dr. Sanjay Sharma were guests of honour.

Physicians, Gynaecologist, Pathologist, Medical officers, AYUSH Doctors and Students attended the event, which featured a powerpoint presentation by Dy. Director Dentistry on the importance of Oral health for Diabetic Patients.

Physician Dr. Dinesh Sharma delivered an awareness talk on Diabetes Mellitus-present scenario & New advances, while Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Amandeep presented detailed information on Diabetic disorder in Obstetrics.
Pathologist, Dr Arun Manhas spoke on Diabetes Mellitus & Diagnosis. Dr Vimal Sharma & Dr Nidhi highlighted the preventive & precautionary aspects under AYUSH. The vote of thanks was presented by the Medical Superintendent.
