RAMBAN, DECEMBER 19: The District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today formally launched Good Governance Week–2025 with the inauguration of the flagship outreach campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore” across all blocks of the district.
The initiative aims to strengthen last-mile delivery of government services and promote transparent, responsive and citizen-centric governance.
The Deputy Commissioner presided over the largely attended inaugural function held at Block Batote, marking the beginning of a week-long intensive public outreach programme. The campaign is designed to take governance directly to the doorsteps of citizens, especially in rural and remote areas.
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner inspected stalls set up by ICDS, Health, Agriculture Production, Banks, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Horticulture, Revenue, Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Labour Department, Jal Shakti, FCS & CA, Animal Husbandry, JPDCL and other line departments. These stalls provided on-the-spot services, guidance and awareness about key welfare schemes of their respective sectors.
ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak; CPO Dr. Shakeeb Ahmed; ACD Sheraz Ahmed, along with other district officers were present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner interacted with the locals, patiently listened to their grievances and facilitated redressal of many issues by issuing on-the-spot directions to the concerned officers.
Addressing the gathering, he urged people to actively avail benefits of various government schemes and services being offered under the campaign.
Key focus areas and schemes highlighted during the programme included Financial Inclusion initiatives, PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, JK Samadhan grievance registration, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Inheritance Mutation services, PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, e-KYC (FCS & CA), DLC by Banks, PMAY (G) & PMAY (U), PMJAY–Sehat and BOCA registration for construction workers. Important police and public safety services, including child and women safety and drug abuse awareness, were also emphasized.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that a detailed schedule has been issued to organize similar programmes across all blocks during Good Governance Week–2025 to ensure effective outreach and service delivery.
He appealed the public to actively participate and make maximum use of this initiative.
Meanwhile, officers from line departments sensitized the public about their schemes and provided necessary handholding to facilitate beneficiaries in availing government services.
Similar programme was also held in Block Gundi-Dhram which was presided over by the SDM Gool Imtiaz Ahmed.
