BANDIPORA, DECEMBER 24: As part of Good Governance Week “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, a series of awareness and outreach programmes were held across various educational institutions and public platforms in District Bandipora to promote transparency, accountability and citizen-centric governance.
Good Governance programmes were organized at BMS Konan, MS Drugbal, UPS Shokbaba, GHSS Gadakhud and PM SHRI Government Higher Secondary School Shadipora.
The events witnessed active participation from Zonal Education Officer, Heads of Institutions, teachers, students, parents and SMDC members. Meanwhile, under Good Governance Week, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Bandipora conducted a road safety awareness and grievance redressal camp at Sumo Stand Sumbal. ARTO Bandipora sensitised drivers and transporters on road safety, traffic norms and the dangers of drug abuse while driving.
On-the-spot services including issuance of fitness certificates were provided. Enforcement drives were also carried out on Argam–Chapran Road and Bandipora–Sumbal route, during which vehicles were checked, e-challans issued and penalties realised, reinforcing transparency and rule compliance in public transport.
The activities reflected the district administration’s continued commitment to responsive governance and effective service delivery at the grassroots level.
