KISHTWAR, MARCH 07: Capacity-building program for farmers/breeders was today organised by the Department of Sheep Husbandry at Karai Sarthal, under the promotion of wool and pelt for effective processing and marketing under HADP.
The program was attended by 85 breeders from the area, along with PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions).
The Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Dr. Mussawar Rashid informed the breeders about various schemes run by the department for unemployed youth in the area. The officer stressed the importance for breeders to register themselves in the HADP portal to avail the benefits of the scheme, including self-sufficiency in mutton production and the promotion of wool and pelt for effective processing and marketing.
