KISHTWAR, MAY 08: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Vinod Kumar Behnal today inspected Ultra High Density Plantation (UHDP) Apple Orchards in Sangrambhata and Chehrar areas to assess the modern cultivation practices being adopted by the local farmers.
The ADDC interacted with orchard owners and farmers, appreciating their efforts in adopting advanced horticulture techniques aimed at enhancing productivity and improving fruit quality.
Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Sajid Mustafa briefed the ADDC on the benefits of Ultra High-Density Plantation, highlighting advantages such as higher yields, efficient land utilization, early fruit bearing and improved orchard management practices.
The ADDC directed the concerned officers to provide all necessary technical guidance and support to farmers to ensure successful implementation of UHDP projects under the HADP scheme in the district.
The ADDC was accompanied by Horticulture Development Officer Neeraj Kumar, along with other staff of the Horticulture Department.
