BANDIPORA MARCH 09: Department of Handicraft & Handloom today organized exhibition cum awareness programme to generate awareness regarding schemes and services of the department.
The exhibition organized at Mini Secretariat Bandipora was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shakeel ul Rehman.
He was accompanied by ACR Bandipora Shabir Ahmad Wani, who is also holding charge of AD Handicraft/Handloom and other concerned officers.
The Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion, inspected various stalls installed by the department to highlight schemes of the department besides showcasing products manufactured through various units registered with the department.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of the department and the work of artisans who are registered with the department.
Later, an awareness workshop was also held at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
During the workshop, ACR Bandipora highlighted the role of department in hand holding of artisans besides urging the unregistered artisans to register online for getting artisan & weaver registration cards to avail benefit of various schemes.
On the occasion, Supervisor M. Amin Shah, AHTO Asif Manzoor and M. Ibrahim, Auditor INDUSCO Gulzar Ahmad also addressed the gathering highlighting the schemes and services available with the department.
