RAMBAN, AUGUST 23: In continuation of its efforts to take healthcare to the remotest corners, the District Administration Ramban, under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Alyas Khan, today organized a “Hospital on Wheels” Mobile Medical Camp at Village Bhimdassa, Tehsil Gool.
The initiative, aimed at bridging the healthcare gap in hard-to-reach areas, provided on-the-spot medical consultations, essential diagnostics, free medicines, and vital health awareness to the rural population.
A dedicated team of doctors and paramedical staff attended to over 175 patients, including 159 General OPD cases and 16 Dental consultations. The camp also conducted essential tests such as blood sugar, anaemia, and malaria. Screenings for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Tuberculosis (under NTEP) were undertaken, ensuring early detection and timely intervention.
Furthering the vision of digital health, 35 ABHA IDs were generated under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). The medical team also sensitized villagers about flagship schemes like JK SEHAT, PMJAY, E-Sanjeevani, NTEP and ABDM, while stressing the importance of preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.
The outreach drive is a part of a series of medical interventions designed to strengthen last-mile healthcare delivery and improve health outcomes across inaccessible and far-flung areas of the district.
