UDHAMPUR, JULY 10: IAS Probationer Dr. Shagun Singh today visited the Office of the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Udhampur, to inspect the functioning of various cooperative offices and institutions in the district.
During the visit, she inspected the offices of the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, Cooperative Audit and Deputy Registrar Agriculture.
Dr. Shagun held detailed discussions on the ongoing schemes, projects and initiatives of the Cooperative Department. Officials briefed her on the benefits and services being extended to the public through the cooperative sector. She appreciated the department’s efforts and suggested measures for strengthening institutional functioning, upgrading services and enhancing public service delivery.
The IAS Probationer later visited Devika Urban Cooperative Bank, where she reviewed the bank’s functioning and interacted with officials on digital banking services and measures being taken to protect customers from online and cyber frauds.
She also visited the District Cooperative Marketing Society and the Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, where she reviewed banking operations, cyber security measures, account opening progress, Kisan Credit Card facilities and other cooperative banking services being provided to the public.
