Inter-Zonal Handball & Volleyball competitions for U14 & U17 conclude in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, JULY 12: The thrilling inter-zonal district level Handball and Volleyball competition for boys under 14 and 17 concluded today with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship at GDC Boys Ground Khawaja Bagh and Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh.

The event was organized by the Youth Services and Sports department, district Baramulla.
In the Under-14 Handball final, Zone Sopore emerged victorious after a spirited contest against Zone Wagoora. Meanwhile, in the Under-17 Handball final, Zone Wagoora turned the tables and clinched the title after defeating Zone Sopore in an intense matchup.

On the Volleyball side, the Under-14 final saw Zone Wagoora claim the championship by overcoming Zone Dangiwacha in a competitive game. In the Under-17 category, Zone Dangerpora outplayed Zone Tangmarg in a match that drew applause for its skillful display of teamwork and resilience.

DYSSO Baramulla congratulated all the winning and participating teams, emphasizing the importance of such competitions in nurturing sports talent and encouraging healthy competition among youth.

The spotlight now shifts to the Under-19 boys’ Handball and Volleyball competitions, scheduled to begin on 14th July at the same venues, where new champions will be crowned in the senior category.
