JK reports 1695 new Coronavirus cases, one death

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported one death and 1,695 fresh positive cases of COVID-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 6,242.
With one more death, the death toll in J&K has reached 6,242 and 1,695 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 348,201.
Of the exact number of 348,201 cases, 218,240 are from Kashmir division and 129,961 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,695 new cases, 883 belong to Kashmir division while as 812 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 218,240 including 213,010 recoveries and 2,336 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 129,961 including 124,402 recoveries and 2,211 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 6,242 including 2,894 from Kashmir division and 3,348 from Jammu division.
With 262 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 337,412 which is 96.90 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 320 from Srinagar, 250 from Baramulla, 116 from Budgam, 30 from Pulwama, 52 from Kupwara, 40 from Anantnag, 36 from Bandipora, 18 from Ganderbal, 20 from Kulgam and 01 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 812 from Jammu division include 438 from Jammu division, 68 from Udhampur, 42 from Rajouri, 10 from Doda, 93 from Kathua, 30 from Samba, 09 from Kishtwar, 22 from Poonch, 15 from Ramban and 85 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 80,277 positive cases including 885 deaths and 77,979 recoveries are from Srinagar, 26,610 including 292 deaths and 25,722 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,909 including 24,364 recoveries and 218 deaths are from Budgam, 15,843 including 15,549 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 15,136 including 168 deaths and 14,825 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,838 including 16,548 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,278 cases including 10,082 and 111 deaths are from Bandipora, 11,086 including 10,938 recoveries and 82 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,639 including 11,444 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,624 including 5,559 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 56,306 including 53,075 recoveries and 1,165 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,726 including 11,352 recoveries and 139 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,518 including 11,150 recoveries and 240 deaths are from Rajouri, 8,150 including 7,932 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Doda, 9,684 including 9,264 recoveries and 153 deaths are from Kathua, 7,293 including 7,072 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,896 including 4,815 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,773 including 6,542 recoveries and 102 deaths are from Poonch, 6,142 including 6,020 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 7,473 including 7,180 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,462,055 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,306 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 6,242 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,009,743 persons have completed the surveillance period and 434,217 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 20,008,030 samples are available. Out of 20,008,030 the number of samples tested negative stands at 19,659,829 while as 348,201 have tested positive, among them 6,242 persons are active, 337,412 persons have recovered and 4,547 persons have died.
