J&K reports 36 fresh cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Wednesday reported 36 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 627 while as no death was reported in last 24 hours in the UT.
With no more death, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,748 and 36 fresh positive cases reported on Wednesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 453,088.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among new cases, 18 belong to Kashmir division while as 18 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 287,095 including 284,451 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 165,993 including 163,362 recoveries and 2,325 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 527 including 221 from Kashmir division and 306 from Jammu division.
With 123 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 447,813 which is 98.84 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 13 from Srinagar, 01 from Baramulla, 02 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 18 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 01 from Rajouri, 05 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 01 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 102,236 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,196 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,588 including 304 deaths and 37,249 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,803 including 34,554 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,416 including 18,215 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,717 including 174 deaths and 21,533 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,194 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,673 cases including 13,548 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,626 including 13,541 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,313 including 16,179 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,242 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 76,008 including 74,636 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,760 including 14,610 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,799 including 12,545 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,496 including 11,259 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,404 including 11,223 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,083 including 8,947 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,879 including 5,826 recoveries and 45 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,738 including 7,616 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,125 including 8,050 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,701 including 8,650 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 6,139,968 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 32,163 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 527 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 5,652,063 persons have completed the surveillance period and 450,467 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,356,065 samples are available. Out of 23,356,065 the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,902,977 while as 453,088 have tested positive, among them 527 cases are active, 447,813 have recovered and 4,748 persons have died—(KNO)
