JAMMU, MARCH 07: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) is organizing the staging of the renowned Hindi play “Komal Gandhar” written by noted playwright Dr. Shankar Shesh. The play will be presented at Abhinav Theatre on 8th March 2026 at 4:30 pm in connection with the International Women’s Day celebrations.
The play will be directed by eminent theatre personality Bhupinder Jamwal. “Komal Gandhar” is widely regarded as a powerful theatrical work that reflects deep social and emotional dimensions, highlighting human relationships and the role of women in society.
The event is being organized under the guidance of Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages Harvinder Kour, who has been actively promoting cultural and literary activities across the Union Territory.
The Academy has invited theatre lovers, artists, students and the general public to attend the performance and celebrate the spirit of International Women’s Day through the medium of theatre.
The programme is expected to bring together prominent artists and cultural enthusiasts, reaffirming the Academy’s commitment to the promotion of art, culture and languages in Jammu and Kashmir.
