JAMMU, MARCH 08: In a crucial meeting held today, the Managing Director Jammu Power Development Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Yasin M. Choudhary emphasized the importance of proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the upcoming summer season.

It was discussed and decided during the meeting to proceed with the urgent augmentation of Receiving Stations which include Flatta Jib, Stainee and Dima in Udhampur, Arnas and Dharmari in Reasi, Paharpur in Kathua, Ramgarh in Samba, Babilana, Khour, Lahorichack and Badrot in Jammu

These improvements are aimed at enhancing the overall capacity and efficiency of the Power infrastructure in these areas in view of the commissioning of these Receiving Stations under New JJM Schemes.

During the meeting, the MD directed the concerned officers and staff to remain available 24×7 to swiftly address any grievances or issues that may arise during the summers. The corporation is committed to ensuring smooth power distribution and resolving concerns promptly, keeping in mind the increased demand for electricity as temperatures rise.

JPDCL is taking a series of precautionary steps to upgrade infrastructure, enhance maintenance schedules, and bolster response teams across regions to minimize disruptions.

Mr. Choudhary urged all departments to work collaboratively to avoid any power-related issues and stressed the significance of customer service during this high-demand period.

The initiative will also include increased awareness campaigns for consumers on power conservation measures and safe electricity usage, especially during peak hours. JPDCL remains dedicated to providing uninterrupted service to the residents of Jammu Province during the summer of 2025.
