KATHUA, AUGUST 01: The District Administration Kathua today rolled out a comprehensive plan for the upcoming Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, scheduled to be observed across the district from August 2 to August 15, 2025 as part of the nationwide initiative.

In this regard, a preparatory review meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Vishavjeet Singh. He elaborated on the phase-wise implementation of activities and underscored the collective role of all stakeholders in ensuring the campaign is celebrated in a befitting manner.

The campaign will be conducted in three phases. The first phase will run from 2nd to 7th August, the second phase from 8th to 12th August, and the final phase from 13th to 15th August. Each phase will witness thematic and coordinated activities across urban and rural areas.

As part of the campaign, a range of patriotic activities have been planned including decoration of houses, buildings, and offices; organisation of quiz competitions; rakhi-making and rakhi-tying events on 6th and 7th August; bike rallies; ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ initiative and ceremonial flag hoisting at various locations. The campaign will also feature illumination of government buildings and iconic landmarks in tricolour lighting.

The meeting deliberated on the campaign guidelines, which outline the responsibilities of various departments along with the active involvement of the general public. The ADC emphasized adherence to the Flag Code of India, urging all departments and educational institutions to uphold the dignity of the National Flag and observe proper protocols throughout the campaign duration.

Citizens have been encouraged to actively participate by hoisting the National Flag at their homes, offices and establishments. The administration also appealed to the public to purchase the Tricolour from local markets to support and promote the local economy.

Highlighting the spirit behind the initiative, the ADC said that Har Ghar Tiranga aims to instill a sense of patriotism among citizens and promote awareness about the National Flag.

The School Education Department and Degree Colleges were directed to conduct activities aligning with the campaign schedule. The ACD and ACP Kathua were also asked to organise similar programmes across the rural areas of the district.

The ADC stressed the importance of synergy and cooperation among departments, institutions and the public to make the campaign a grand success.

Among others, ACR Kathua Vishav Partap Singh, ACD Akhil Sadotra and other concerned officers were also present.
