JAMMU, OCTOBER 23: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Minga Sherpa today said that location-mapped and data-backed records of road accidents must be maintained so that pinpoint remedies can be found and implemented and accident hotspots effectively identified for remedial action.
The Deputy Commissioner was speaking at a meeting convened to review the implementation of the Electronic Detailed Accident Report (eDAR) project and the PM RAHAT Scheme in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner was briefed on the eDAR framework, which brings all stakeholder departments onto a single digital platform for reporting and settlement of road accident cases. A year-wise detailed breakdown of road accident data in the district was also shared with him.
