SRINAGAR, APRIL 23: As a part of General Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the District Election Office Srinagar today organised a day-long election training programme for Micro Observers in 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, here.
The election training programme was held on the directions of the District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, who is also the Returning Officer (RO), 02-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
The programme was conducted with the aim to familiarize Micro Observers with the necessary training skills and knowledge to ensure free, fair and smooth conduct of the electoral process in the Constituency.
During the training sessions, the experts shared their theoretical knowledge, practical skills and hands-on experience of the roles and responsibilities of micro-observers in the electoral process.
Speaking about the training, the DEO said that the training programmes are pivotal to sensitize poll staff with their roles and responsibilities during pre-election, election day and post-election phases.
