Maiden Potential Entrepreneurship Mela organised under Mission YUVA at Anantnag

ANANTNAG, JUNE 14: District Employment and Counselling Centre (DECC), Anantnag, in collaboration with the district administration, organized the first-ever Potential Entrepreneurship Mela under the flagship Mission YUVA initiative today at Town Hall, Anantnag.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring entrepreneurs, government departments, and youth representatives from across the district.

The Mela was attended by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Anantnag, who lauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of harnessing youth potential for socio-economic development.

CPO also inspected various departmental stalls and interacted with representatives and beneficiaries, appreciating their efforts in disseminating scheme-related information to the youth.

CPO delivered a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting modern methods of apple packing and marketing to enhance agricultural productivity and profitability.

Multiple government departments including those from the agriculture and allied sectors, Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), and the District Industries Centre (DIC) Anantnag had set up informative stalls. These stalls showcased various centrally sponsored schemes, skill development initiatives, and self-employment opportunities available for the youth.

Departmental representatives spoke at length about the scope for youth involvement in government initiatives and shared inspiring success stories of local entrepreneurs who have carved a niche for themselves with the support of these schemes.

On the occasion, Yuva Doots from different areas of the district actively participated, showcasing their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to community engagement. Yuva Doots shared their personal journeys of transformation from job seekers to job creators crediting the awareness campaigns and guidance provided by the Employment and Counselling Centre and allied departments for helping them navigate their paths.

At the conclusion of the event, Agriculture department’s stall along with several successful entrepreneurs, were felicitated with mementos in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
