Male dead body recovered from river Jhelum

Srinagar: A decomposed dead body was recovered in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday morning.
Reports said that the locals spotted the body in river Jhelum at Zirpara who informed the local police station about it. A police team reached the spot and took the body into their possession.
The deceased has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Gorsi (25) a resident of Gadool Kokernag.
Meanwhile, a police official said that the body was taken to GMC Anantnag for post-mortem and further investigation. (GNS)
