ANANTNAG, APRIL 07: On the eve of World Health Day, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Aishmuqam under the Chairmanship of Shyam Kumar Sharma, has organised a day-long comprehensive Health Awareness Program and Mega Medical drive to spread awareness about Health.
The event, presided over by the Chairman TLSC, underscores the judiciary’s role in safeguarding the fundamental right to health. The camp, held at Court Complex Aishmuqam, saw a massive turnout.
Medical specialists from BMO Mattan and BMO Sallar provided a range of services, including Blood pressure, sugar levels, and general physical check-ups. Awareness session and expert talks on mental health, nutrition, and the ill effects of bad health among students.
Moreover, essential medicines were provided to those in need following their check-ups.
Meanwhile, high-level team led by the Chairman TLSC, alongside the Naib Tehsildar and Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee, TSO Aishmuqam and TSO Pahalgam conducted a surprise inspection of the Aishmuqam Market. The drive focused on food safety ensuring that eateries and vendors adhere to the Food Safety and Standards Act. Directives were issued on-the-spot to shopkeepers regarding the scientific disposal of waste and the mandatory installation of dustbins.
The initiative aims to reinforce the principle that “Health is a human right, not a luxury.” The program is designed to promote community wellness, provide essential medical screenings, and educate students and the general public on the importance of preventive healthcare.
The medical camp features expert teams from BMO Mattan and BMO Sallar, equipped with necessary diagnostic tools to provide on-spot screenings and consultations.
The event was attended by senior local officials, including Naib Tehsildar Aishmuqam, Executive Officer of Municipal Committee, and Principal of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Aishmuqam, TSO Aishmuqam and TSO Pahalgam.
The Chairman, TLSC Aishmuqam, emphasized that these drives are critical for building a resilient and thriving community.
The local police, led by, SDPO Pahalgam and SHO Aishmuqam, provided necessary coordination and information support to ensure the smooth conduct of the day’s proceedings.
