Srinagar, Apr 22 : Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq on Monday paid glowing tribute to the ‘Poet of the East’ Allama Dr Sir Muhammad Iqbal (RA) on his 84th death anniversary.
As per a statement issued to the news agency, Mirwaiz said in his tributes that Allama Iqbal’s message, which is a philosophical interpretation of the holy Qur’an, is an unparalleled immortal and priceless asset not only for the subcontinent but for the entire world.
He said Allama Iqbal’s message is based on trust in God and self-confidence, in which philanthropy, love, tolerance and human values have been stressed.
Mirwaiz said there is a dire need to practice what Allama Iqbal (RA) has taught about self-realization, service to mankind and knowledge of God through his philosophy of “Khudi”
