JAMMU, JANUARY 24: Mission Director Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP)/JKCIP Rahul Yadav today chaired a review meeting to assess the progress under the key components of the flagship Programme. The meeting was held in the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan Talab Tillo.

The meeting was attended by the project grounding and monitoring Committees of the respective projects, along with the Director of Agriculture Jammu/Kashmir, Director of Horticulture Jammu/Kashmir, Director of Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director of Sheep Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir and representatives from Sericulture Department, SKUAST Jammu and SKUAST Kashmir. Officers from Kashmir participated virtually.

The meeting focused on several key areas, including a review of the action taken on decisions made during the previous HADP review meeting held on 10th January 2025, the utilization of funds under the programme, and the submission of training calendars and schedules for upcoming training sessions. Updates on training schedules and the completion status of courses on the Daksh Kisan Portal, as well as farmer registration on the Kisan Sathi Portal, were also reviewed.

Speaking at the meeting, Rahul Yadav emphasized the need for timely and judicious utilization of allocated funds. He urged all departments to expedite the implementation of assigned tasks under the HADP and ensure coordination across all sectors to facilitate the efficient execution of developmental works under the Integrated Farming System (IFS) model.

The Mission Director also reviewed the progress of the establishment of Low-Cost Polyhouse structures under Project No. 01 for Seed and Seed Multiplication Chain. He directed concerned officials to complete the assigned targets within the stipulated timelines and to focus on the development of Community-based Seed Producers’ Organizations.

Additionally, the Mission Director stressed the importance of establishing nurseries for niche crops such as Pecanut, Saffron, and Kalazeera, and highlighted the need for efficient procurement of seeds under the Niche Crop program. He also reviewed the progress of nursery establishments under HADP Projects.

Rahul Yadav specifically stressed on the establishment of millet mills under Project Promotion of Nutri Cereals (Millets) and the need to achieve targets within the given timeframe.

The Mission Director sought submission of detailed information regarding non-responsive application IDs on the Kisan Sathi Portal, specifically for those applications that remained inactive after 90 days of sanction.

The meeting concluded with discussions on the importance of organising workshops for farmers under HADP, especially on organic farming practices. Progressive farmers will be invited to participate in these workshops to share knowledge and experience.

It was reported during the meeting that the majority of the allocated funds had already been successfully utilized, and the remaining targets are expected to be completed within the set timelines.
