JAMMU, AUGUST 02: Mission Shakti SANKALP HEW Jammu Social Welfare Department conducted a successful awareness campaign on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” and women empowerment at the Block Training Centre in Satrayan, Block R.S Pura. The program attracted a large gathering of women from Self Help Groups and neighboring areas, demonstrating a strong desire for knowledge and support.
The Officials from Mission Shakti SANKALP HEW Jammu provided comprehensive information on various government schemes and programs designed to uplift women. The focus was on empowering women through education, healthcare, safety, and economic opportunities. Key initiatives discussed included:
Participants were made aware regarding various schemes including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), NHM Health Schemes, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Ladli Beti, Scholarship Schemes, Skill Development Programs, Business Startup Schemes, Pension Schemes, SMAS for Marriage, Schemes for Women in Distress, Nasha Mukt Awareness Session.
The officials emphasized the importance of these schemes in empowering women and ensuring their well-being.
In addition to the awareness session, the event also incorporated a cleanliness drive as part of a 15-day initiative for cleanliness and plantation. The drive aimed to promote environmental awareness and inspire the community to contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.
The program concluded with a grievance redressal session where women were given the opportunity to voice their concerns and seek immediate solutions.
