KULGAM, APRIL 27: A pad yatra aimed at raising awareness against drug abuse was organized in Devsar area of Kulgam under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The padyatra was led By MLA Devsar, Peerzada Feroz Ahmad Shah and was also joined by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam.
The rally witnessed participation from hundreds of people, particularly students and youth, who marched through the area carrying placards and raising slogans against drug abuse.
The initiative highlighted the importance of a collective effort to combat the growing menace of drugs in society.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA urged the youth to stay away from drugs and channel their energy towards positive and productive activities.
The Deputy Commissioner, while addressing the participants, stressed that such awareness campaigns play a vital role in sensitizing society about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
He added that under the ongoing 100-day campaign, the District Administration is committed to intensify efforts to eliminate drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society.
